Hi there,
while Silkypix Pro 5 used to have the edge over other RAW developers including Lightroom when it comes to the correction of CA or, more generally, defringing, and lateral CA correction still has the advantage of being semi-automatic with the excellent CA pipette tool, the latest Lightroom pre-release (4.1 RC2)
now includes a defringing tool which seems to be really perfect even for the kind of fringing Silkypix Pro 5 tries to address with its new 'Fringe reduction' slider. From my experience so far and in contrast to the new Lightroom feature, applying 'Fringe reduction' in Silkypix visibly reduces overall sharpness and saturation, and usually only reduces the purple in-front-of-focus axial CA significantly, not so much the greenish behind-focus axial CA.
Can we have that feature, too, please?

And while we're at it, I'd like to repeat that it would be much more coherent to get all UI elements concerning CA and defringing in one tool, instead of finding one under 'lens correction' and the other under 'sharpness/noise reduction'...
Cheers,
Robert
